National Catalogue host announced
The national catalogue and tariff for Simple Aids to Daily Living (SADLs) is to be hosted and maintained by ADL Smartcare Limited.
The catalogue includes the most common items of equipment issued through community equipment stores in England. Generic specifications that meet clinical need have been developed to ensure the widest range of equipment items are available in the retail marketplace.
Currently in beta test until Jan 2011 the national infrastructure will allow local authorities to have an online presence for their particular local model. The local systems will be supported by a National Portal where the details of the tariff, specifications, a full list of accredited retailers and a public feedback area will be available.
The National Portal will be available in a reduced version by the start of November. You will be able to access the tariff, specification, register your interest in the national catalogue and provide feedback.
