CECOPS corporate accreditation aims to put community equipment provider “ahead of the game”
Working with CECOPS, Medequip Assistive Technology, a leading provider of Community Equipment Services to local authorities and the NHS across the UK, has achieved corporate accreditation for all its community contracts.
The company says it worked closely with the independent, not-for-profit certification and standards body as part of its service strategy to ensure its “operating processes were industry leading and putting us ahead of the game in our industry sector.”
Managing the loan of equipment such as profiling beds, mattresses, hoists, toileting aids, commodes and more on behalf of the NHS, Medequip is one of the largest nationwide equipment providers.
Operating out of 19 specially adapted depots across the country covering a population of more than 14.5million people, the company states it wants to lead the way in best practice and ensure the highest quality of service for customers and service-users alike.
Nigel Cook, Director of HR, SHEQ and Governance at Medequip, said: “CECOPS have helped Medequip meet and exceed customer expectations whilst always maintaining the company ethos of putting the end-user at the heart of what we do.”
Aiming to raise the standard of all assistive technology related services across the UK, CECOPS is a standards body representing various areas of assistive technology services, such as community equipment, wheelchair and seating services, telecare, telehealth and communication aids.
Brian Donnelly, CEO of CECOPS, added: “CECOPS is the gold standard for quality in the assistive technology space. We are delighted that Medequip has achieved corporate accreditation for all of their community equipment contracts. Their commitment to quality was evident and they have worked incredibly hard throughout the process.”
