In late September, Messe Düsseldorf says it expects around 900 exhibitors, 400 of which will be from over 35 countries overseas, to attend this year’s REHACARE, as the show gears up with new features.

In addition to a large proportion of the German medical device industry being represented, around 400 foreign exhibiting companies will also participate this year claims the show’s organisers, with organisations from the UK, China, Denmark, Canada, Korea and Taiwan amongst the confirmed nations.

Horst Giesen, Global Portfolio Director, Health and Medical Technologies at Messe Düsseldorf, commented: “In our trade fair halls, both professionals and interested parties will find an international event which represents the entire spectrum of the solutions that are currently on offer on the international market.”

Aiming to fully represent the medical device industry, this year’s event will look to showcase mobility aids and devices for daily use, aids for outpatient or inpatient care, communication technology, as well as a large amount of space dedicated to adapted vehicles.

“The leading companies in the industry and smaller and middle-sized companies who serve specialist segments and associations and organizations from all relevant sectors will be present in Düsseldorf,” added Horst.

Taking place in Düsseldorf on the 26th to the 29th September and spread over 30,000 sq. metres of hall space, REHACARE has been one of the largest industry trade shows for the past 40 years, with attendees meeting companies, associations and institutions from the mobility, rehabilitation, care and medical sectors.

The focus of this year’s REHACARE Conference will be on “Digitally Shaping Our Lives in the Community”, with the trade fair and accompanying conferences taking place in Halls 3 to 7 at Messe Düsseldorf, as well as the CCD Süd (South Congress Centre).

2,000 square metres of exhibition space in Hall 6 will be dedicated to around 40 companies specialising in customised vehicle conversions and installations, with manufacturers including Audi, Fiat, Mercedes and Volkswagen in attendance.

In addition, the show will include more features, including a dedicated area for paediatrics, presentations and panel discussions covering various in the REHACARE Forum and the CYBATHLON Experience by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich will return for its second year.
