SUMMARY
Multi Award Winning Direct Healthcare Services Ltd has a number of recruitment opportunities for 2012 in line with its continued and rapid expansion plans, linked with significant growth to date. These particular positions will be responsible for sales activities in assigned NHS, Primary Care and separately Wheelchair Service accounts, subject to the appropriate recruited sector. The roles will be responsible for managing existing and growing accounts along with the quality and consistency of our entire product aspects. This would include those areas of product sales, assessments, service and delivery queries in line with company procedures. These roles report directly to the Sales Manager and board level (only as required).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Achieve current and projected sales targets through use of your own skills and that of a highly experienced team, excellent marketing material and outstanding product quality.
2. Present, demonstrate and ultimately sell all company products and services to current and potential clients via a direct route to market.
3. Prepare in line with your Manager, sales plans, forecasts and schedules to identify and project specific targets, trends and opportunities.
4. Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
5. Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
6. Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
7. Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
8. Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships via a DHS personally designed CRM database.
9. Assist with tender contract paperwork via HQ sales support & customer service teams.
10. Manage account services through quality checks and other internal follow-up procedures (CAR files).
11. Identify and resolve potential client concerns.
12. Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
13. Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff network.
14. Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
15. Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
2. Coordinate delivery of merchandise and services.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
2. Preferably a sales background within the NHS / Healthcare sector (however not essential for exceptional sales only candidates)
3. Ability to persuade and influence others at the highest level. Ability to develop and deliver presentations, compose, create and edit written materials as required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are an absolute requirement. Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques may be useful (although not essential). This is normally acquired through a combination of training and three to five years of sales and or marketing experience.
4. The ability to sense a wide range of opportunities, requiring and maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to all customers and members of the public.
5. Work requires significant local travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid, clean driver’s licence (minimal points will also be considered).
6. Work requires willingness to remain on a flexible schedule as occasional overnight travel may be needed to fulfil these roles effectively.
PERSONAL PROFILE
Personality: These candidates must be self-driven, results-oriented team players with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and potential business, leading to personal profit / gain. A natural forward planner who critically assesses their own sales performance. The candidates must be mature (regardless of age), credible, and comfortable in dealing with a range of customer profiles including senior executives, OT’s, Phisio’s, TVN’s, ICN’s to that of care assistants, subject to the sector. Reliable, tolerant, and determined is a pre requisite of skills requirements. Empathic communicator, (been able to see things from the other person's point of view). Well presented and businesslike. Our candidates must be sufficiently flexible to travel when necessary.
Personal Situation: These positions that are available enable significant career prospects and therefore the candidates personal circumstances must be flexible towards growth and that of most customer demands. The client must also be able to spend a few nights away per month as required without upsetting his or her domestic situation. Must also be able to work extended hours on occasions (sales meeting, customer audits etc) when required.
Business and Selling Skills: Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator, with the ability to obtain 4+ planned or cold call appointments per day (a healthy mix). Candidates must also be able to demonstrate success and experience in managing major accounts, key customers or even a business to business RTM (Dealers / Distributors). The candidate will particularly achieve genuine sales development and growth opportunities and must have a proven track record in sales. Previous experience of medical and in particular pressure products would be particularly helpful, however this is sometimes not ideal, so all backgrounds would be considered for particularly strong candidates. Experience of tenders may also be useful.
