Media Sales Executive - BHTA Engage - Northamptonshire

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am 5pm

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

BHTA Engage is seeking a motivated, driven media sales executive to grow the company’s various online and print publications and deliver essential key targets.

The successful candidate will need to identify and actively pursue opportunities for cross-platform sales growth across existing and potential new areas of BHTA Engage activity.

The company

BHTA Engage is the commercial arm of the British Healthcare Trades Association, the UK's oldest healthcare trade association. The organisation works to provide a range of support and benefits for almost 500 members in the healthcare industry.

BHTA Engage prints and publishes the monthly THIIS (The Homecare Industry Information Service) magazine, a trade publication keeping retailers and manufacturers informed with the latest industry news. BHTA Engage also runs AT Today, a website informing healthcare professionals about the latest innovations and research in the healthcare market.

Responsibilities and Duties

Working alongside BHTA Engage’s editorial team, this B2B media sales role covers various aspects of the sales cycle, from lead generation and sales presentations to closing deals. A large proportion of sales are achieved via phone and email communications.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Make a number of outgoing calls to generate new leads and securing sales across multiple platforms -both offline and digital
  • Increase new clients through Networking and attending relevant industry exhibitions, trade shows and conferences
  • Develop existing client base by maintaining regular contact
  • Work with advertisers & design department to arrange placement and design of adverts sold
  • To develop new media packages based on client needs
  • Track purchases and keep record of sales, contacts and deals
  • Deliver sales reports to management

Qualifications and Skills

Essential requirements

  • Sales experience within a B2B environment and proven ability to attract new business
  • Experience of working within print and/or online media organisations, preferably in a sales or relationship management capacity
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, under pressure, and adapt to change
  • Great organisation with the ability to diarise
  • Keenness to learn about the industry

Desired but not essential:

  • Any experience in the healthcare or mobility sector
  • A high level of computer literacy (Microsoft office)
