Millbrook Healthcare surpasses fundraising target for charity
A provider of community equipment, wheelchair services and home improvement agency services, Millbrook Healthcare has exceeded its fundraising target for Dementia Action Week.
Staff from Millbrook Healthcare helped spread awareness and raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society in light of Dementia Action Week, with the week of fundraising activities leading to the company surpassing its fundraising target by 119%.
Phillip Campling, Managing Director of Millbrook Healthcare, said: “Supporting the Alzheimer’s Society and raising awareness for dementia is extremely important to us.
“Last year a number of our staff were trained as Dementia Friends, which has given our front-line teams the tools and knowledge to work with those who have dementia.”
Alzheimer’s society is a care and research charity which aims to support those affected by dementia and find a cure for the disease.
The charity’s Dementia Action Week aims to raise awareness of dementia through both big and small actions and encourages people to share their dementia stories, make donations, campaign and become a Dementia Friend.
Millbrook Healthcare is a provider of community equipment, wheelchair services, assistive technology and home improvement agency services to the NHS and local authorities.
In total, Millbrook Healthcare raised £359 for Alzheimer’s Society.
