Impey online configurator

Wetroom specialist Impey has launched its ‘Shower Space Configurator’, a new online feature aimed to simplify the specification for shower spaces and wetrooms for retailers and installers.

The UK manufacturer of showering solutions says the innovative configurator signals the next phase of its renewed online strategy as it looks to differentiate itself in the market.

Designed for all involved in the planning of wetrooms, including architects, installers, specifiers, designers, procurement specialists and retailers, the online tool aims to make the often-complex specification and installation process easier.

Guiding users through a series of questions focused on building structure, amenities and requirements of the shower area, to make best-fit product recommendations for the project, the new online resource aims to save valuable research time and design repetition.

Fully compatible with NBS, BIM and CAD, allowing for external documents and files to be imported and saved in the secure online storage area for easy access, the company hopes the configurator will become an essential tool across all core wetroom markets to create and save live wetroom projects for continued use.

John Blackburn, Managing Director at Impey, said “We are very excited about the opportunities afforded by our new website. It’s visually appealing, intuitive and contains a wealth of information on wetroom and level-access showering options, including our Projects and Blog sections, which we are updating regularly.

“The centrepiece is our Shower Space Configurator, which will undoubtedly be a valued resource for specifiers, designers and architects, who will find that planning and designing wetroom specifications is much quicker and simpler and can be integrated straight into their live projects.”

Specifications created within the Configurator can be instantly accessed, emailed, downloaded or saved into the users’ online project file for immediate or future use or reuse and recommended specifications will also ensure designs conform to Building Regulations and can be carried directly onto building control submissions.

The creation of the Shower Space Tool was the result of years of online and direct customer research says Impey, with feedback across stakeholders in the construction and specification sectors highlighting the need for a means to easily specify showering solutions that were cross-compatible.

The Shower Space Configurator will encourage visits to the new website as the portfolio of solutions grows in line with product development plans asserts Impey, offering up-to-the-minute wetroom information to customers across retail and healthcare markets.
