A two-step disengaging lever prevents the scooters from free-wheeling if knocked out of drive mode. Optimum security is also guaranteed when turning corners; it is equipped with an electronic speed reduction feature which automatically slows the scooter when going round bends. The Comet complies with the Medical Device Standards for Europe and have been tested in the German independent TÛV test laboratory

Intelligent electronics provide helpful visual and audio signals when the batteries need recharging. Similarly, the sophisticated lighting system includes easily visible DUAL-bulb headlights, indicators that automatically switch off and an integrated heavy-duty brake light for safety. For added security, lights operate in such a way that should a light bulb fail, all others remain fully functional.

The battery, electronics, motor and cables can be easily reached by simply removing one of the covers.
