The Simplaphone – a new concept for the older community using Touch Talk was launched at the recent Care Show. This is the first home phone with a 7” touch screen that allows the user to dial by photo and see who is calling just by a touch of the screen.
“We're dedicated to making life easier and more fun for the older community”, says Simpla Founder and Chief Executive David Wilson. “This is the first of a number of products we will be launching to satisfy the needs of our increasing older community. They deserve well designed products that are simple to use and we intend to provide them.”
The Simplaphone is the first; a cordless DECT phone with a built-in camera in the handset and a base with a large display. Take a photo of a friend or relative, put the handset in the cradle and the photo is synchronised with the base and easy to follow instructions on the screen tell you how to create your phone directory entry. There are also pre-installed standard images to show the doctor, taxi and other useful contacts. The user just has to add the name and number when they buy the phone. It also has voice messaging with photos, so you can see who's called.

· No missed calls - the SimplaPhone has a cordless handset with neck cord, so you can roam freely around the home and garden and instantly recognise callers on the handset colour screen. You can scroll through your photo directory to make a call as well.
· Modern design - The SimplaPhone suits any living space either mounted on the wall or on the table top and is available in silver, piano black or glossy white finishes.
