An innovative collaboration between
Bartrams Healthcare and Sunrise Medical is set to dramatically reduce lead-times for many disabled people waiting beyond the maximum waiting period for NHS wheelchairs.
It has been well documented over recent weeks that large numbers of disabled people requiring wheelchairs have been left frustrated as they continue to wait longer than the intended 18 week waiting period.
The new collaboration aims to reduce the lead-times for users to just 3 weeks, combining the specialist assessment and manufacturing expertise of both organisations to get manual and powered wheelchairs out to clients faster.
Luke Patridge, Operations Manager at
Bartrams Healthcare, said: "We are very excited to announce this new scheme working in conjunction with Sunrise Medical, which is primed to make a big impact for wheelchair users and be a positive step forward within the provision of wheelchair services.”
With a combined 60+ year’s industry experience supplying mobility equipment throughout the healthcare sector, this new initiative is designed to provide a more responsive service, without compromising on quality and clinical standards.
