Pressure care range redeveloped following product review

Following an exhaustive review of its foam mattress offering, Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare has released a new range of foam support surfaces as the company looks to retain its position at the leading edge of performance and technical specification in the field.

According to the company, the new and improved range, which includes mattresses and seat cushions, is the result of an extensive programme of product development, combining technical knowledge with user feedback and identified clinical requirements.

A new brochure detailing Drive DeVilbiss’ comprehensive range of combined foam support surfaces under the Drive DeVilbiss and Sidhil brands has also been produced, highlighting the enhanced clinical benefits and performance improvements.

Drive said: "Zonal areas have been introduced to a number of the company’s support surfaces, designed to provide additional pressure redistribution benefits. These include smaller castellations in the scapula area to support bony prominences and the heel section to protect this vulnerable area. Larger castellations now give additional support in the sacral area.”

The mattresses are manufactured in the UK, follow NICE Clinical Guidance (CG179, published April 2014) when indicating product risk factors and comply fully with acknowledged industry standards.
