Pride Mobility Riser Recline Chairs - August 10
An Urgent Field Safety Notice has been issued for Pride Mobility Riser Recliner chairs.
The products affected are C1, C5, C6, C11, C15, LC101, D30, 560, 660, 670 and T3
The FSN states that users and dealers of the chairs should be aware that the Pride Riser Recliner External Transformer should NOT be placed in the void area underneath the chair. Rather, the transformer should be placed in an open area to reduce the potential for the cables to become damaged by the chair's lift mechanism. It is also recommended not to place the transformer near a heat source or to cover the transformer with materials such as papers, blankets, etc.
Placing the transformer near a heat source or covering may reduce the performance of the product in some applications. Further, users or their carers should ensure that the transformer wires are kept clear of any obstructions.
A product insert document and warning label have been created to illustrate the proper location of the External Transformer as a supplement to the existing warnings located in the owner's manual. This document is called Riser Recliner External Transformer product insert and will be supplied with all Pride Riser Recliners. This document and the warning label will also be distributed by Pride Mobility Products Ltd. to those users who already own a Riser Recliner via Pride Mobility Products Ltd authorised Dealers.
