Ringwood bathseats from Smitcare

A Field Safety Notice has been issued for all Ringwood Bathseats, product code SNE343, manufactured by SmitCare.

There should be product labels on the underside of the seat, one detailing our company name, the product name, the manufacturing date and weight rating. The other label would show our company name and address.

Following a report of an injury due to movement of a Ringwood Bathseat when in use, SmitCare have issued a FSN to prevent recurrence.

The company has requested that all end users are made aware of the updated fitting instructions for the Ringwood Bathseat to ensure the seat is securely fitted in the bath without movement. According to the company, tt is imperative that the paddles that press against the sides of the bath are adjusted to the widest setting permitted by the internal dimension of the bath.

Updated instructions with clearer guidance on the range of adjustment of the seat and suitable widths of baths are available.
