Direct Healthcare Group acquires Qbitus Products
Direct Healthcare Group (DHG), a leading manufacturer of pressure care solutions, has completed the acquisition of Qbitus Products; it is the fourth acquisition for the company in two years.
Founded over 30 years ago, Qbitus has built a formidable reputation as the number one supplier of bespoke, pressure-relieving cushions to the NHS and Wheelchair Services.
This latest bolt-on represents Direct Healthcare Group’s fourth acquisition in 24 months, having acquired Nightingale Professional Bariatric Care in 2016, Kirton Healthcare in 2017 and the Transflo Cushion brand from Karomed in March 2018.
Commenting on the purchase of Qbitus Products, Graham Ewart, CEO of Direct Healthcare Group, said: “The acquisition of Qbitus Products is a fantastic opportunity that complements our current portfolio. The synergies with our DHS pressure care and Kirton specialist seating portfolio, through the provision of Qbitus’ highly bespoke, pressure-relieving cushions, deliver an offering that is truly unique.
“Qbitus have worked incredibly hard to establish the company as a market leader and have built a strong reputation for quality and customer service. Through this acquisition, we will continue to provide the quality and individually unique products that are expected of Qbitus, whilst taking the business into its next phase of growth. The acquisition will allow us to provide more products and solutions to our customers, whilst enhancing clinical support and service.”
Mike Leighton, CEO of Qbitus Products, said: “We are incredibly excited to see Direct Healthcare Group support Qbitus Products into its next phase of growth. The knowledge, research and development, and business management systems in place at DHG will help to ensure that product quality is maintained and improved upon; whilst the opportunity to integrate the range into their current portfolio offers something unique to the market.”
